Your First Visit to Our Westminster Practice

You will be warmly welcomed and made to feel at home. Help is on its way!

Your first visit will give us the opportunity to get acquainted.  When you come in you will be greeted at the front desk and asked to sign in and fill out some important health and personal information.  If you have health insurance please bring your card so we can verify your benefits for you.  We will let you know exactly what costs will be involved upfront so there are NO surprises.

We will then discuss your health history and current condition.  It's important to know everything that may have led up to your current condition.  Based on our discussion I will do a comprehensive exam and take any necessary x-rays.  We may start some treatment on the first visit based on the findings.  The first visit usually takes about 30-45 minutes.

Following the first visit you will be scheduled for a Report of Findings when we will sit down and discuss all the findings and lay out the treatment plan, all so you can make the most informed decision about your health care.

New patients often remark how “homey” our office is. That’s good, because our goal is to offer state-of-the-art chiropractic care in a comfortable surrounding.

We Explain Everything First

The purpose of your consultation with the doctor is to discuss your health goals and see if chiropractic is likely to help you. If it looks promising, a thorough examination will help identify the cause of your problem.

Westminster chiropractic patients appreciate that we explain everything in advance!

Dr. Allan Asks some important questions of interest to Westminster residents - Chiropractor Westminster Dr. Allan Asks...

What's the difference between sick care and health care?
Sick care is largely about relieving or suppressing symptoms. Health care is about improving performance. While sick care is about how you feel, health care is about how you function. Sick care is what you do to treat an obvious problem, and health care is what you do to avoid the problem and advance your well-being.
What's a side effect?
It may sound like a bonus; something extra, but chiropractors know it should more accurately called an "unintended effect," and "unwanted effect" or in some cases an "adverse effect." A pill can't come close to matching your body's ability to create and deliver the essential compounds it needs. That's when it's important to make sure your nervous system is working correctly—the purpose of chiropractic care!
